Coatlicue/Kali
Kali knew she was coming. She could feel that tiny, familiar glimmer within her, that of a faded, truly ancient goddess bearing striking connections to herself. A mother, a devourer, Coatlicue. Kali could hear the clicking of beads even over the din of customers ordering drinks and snacks. She slid three drinks across the bar to those who had just ordered them, beckoned Uma back behind the bar, and strode from it.
She was moving through the people once more - the nymph had drawn her, and the golden-haired blue-eyed man before her. But Coatlicue, the feeling was only a spark but feverish, as if she was gazing into a forgotten reflection of herself, one from across the world. The Aztec goddess had visited, although briefly, some weeks earlier. Kali had been thrilled. Uma had been intrigued, before having to leave the room - there was an intensity when two goddesses like Coatlicue and Kali were in the same room that Uma could not quite handle. The mother goddesses. Dark, and unyielding. Ferocity unwavering. Kali's teeth bared in a grin, she found herself swaying as Coatlicue did, and soon, swaying with her, near her, behind her.
