As soon as he felt her Triton dropped his bag and put his arms around her, so glad to see her and wondering how he’d ever managed to leave her in the first place. He held her tightly and rested his head against hers, closing his eyes so there was nothing else but her in the world. He didn’t want to let her go. Her presence alone was enough to make him feel better, and to start admitting to himself that he needed rest and comfort.
