I can't fight this feeling any longer, and yet I'm still afraid to let it flow...
Who: Echo and Himeros
What: A long overdue conversation
When: Monday evening, 01/25
Where: Catskill Rainbow Motel, cabin 12
Echo was cooking. It was something she used to dabble in when she lived alone, but hadn't indulged in for a while since Himeros usually brought home take-out for them. She had figured that since she was going to be a mother she should start learning to do all those motherly things she kept hearing about, although that didn't necessarily mean she was good at them. She hated cleaning, had realized that she was not a fan of being monogamous unless she was getting a little something-something at least daily, and seemed to have a real problem being the woman Narcissus wanted her to be. However, she wouldn't give up, not without a fight.
Doing her best approximation of an Earth Mother-type, she was wearing a loose dress with no shoes, her hair was down, and she was in the process of mixing up a sauce for her meatballs. She had no idea if anyone she knew even liked spaghetti and meatballs, but the book that she had gotten seemed to think every woman needed to know how to make it. She planned on mastering all the recipes so if she did move in with Narcissus she could wow him with her kitchen prowess, and if she didn't then she'd cook for Himeros.
Speaking of Himeros, she honestly wasn't sure why she had invited him over so easily. She was really hurt by how accusatory he had seemed when Diana outed her pregnancy, but thinking back if she had been in his situation she probably would have been upset too. The problem was that when it came down to it Echo was no good at dealing with drama, and when all was said and done poor Magnus ended up being a convenient excuse for a much needed conversation.
She heard a knock at the door and dashed over, hoping it was him. She really just wanted to give him a huge hug and apologize, so she could hear him say it was all going to be alright. She opened the door with a huge smile, surprised and annoyed to see her nosy neighbor from Cabin 13 standing there. She stared at him, arms crossed under her chest as she waited for him to get the message and go away.
