There was no need for Lust to have worried that her brother would have pulled away. Even if she had firmly denied him - not that her warm reciprocating touches would have been perceived as such - Greed would have kept right where he was, his hands still attempting to make up for lost time, to relearn all the familiar curves of her body that he had bereft himself of during their time apart.
But it wasn't just her physical form that the Sin tried his hardest to relearn. His own Hellfire flickered against hers, wanting to pull her even closer beyond physical boundaries, bystanding mortal audience be damned. And though she had not said "yes" either, Greed still listened intently, memorizing her words by heart to replay in his mind when the time came for her to leave.
"I will follow you, wherever you go, I'll be right behind you. Close by, never too far apart, where you can see me, where I'll be if you need me." Greed murmured his promise to her as he laid his head on her shoulder, closing his eyes, reciting the words he had swore he would tell her if he ever saw her again. If she would ever talk to him again and if they ever had a reason to be together again.
"But I won't let you go because you want me to, I won't let another man take you from me because you want me to, and I won't lie to you to make things easier for the both of us."
He sighed into the crook of her neck, almost feeling as if he had just finished reciting a prayer, which then all it needed was an "amen" and he'd be set. But he'd hardly think that God would care about how this time he wanted to do everything right, or at least make them last longer than the last time. It sounded like he was asking her for a second chance again, but it also sounded a lot like that emotion he had told her he knew nothing about.
Greed laughed dryly, despite himself, pulling back to make sure that he didn't lose his sister's attention entirely.
"I'm not endanger of becoming a good man, I just...I just needed to say that."
