It wasn't as though he wasn't interested, that was the least of his issues. It was more that Apollo knew that if he took up with Twee in a more personal manner there was the chance he would provoke the 'dragon' figure she had also become involved in. Or, he could make her a target in his family's current struggles. It wasn't as likely as causing a confrontation, but there was still the chance. Of course, if anything did happen it wouldn't be just because he was humoring Twee, it would be mutual decision. He enjoyed her company, something about her youthful enthusiasm helping him to feel young again.
"I find it somewhat amusing that you can so blithely announce that your dragon friend has taken to following you, effectively stalking you if you will. Most would not be taking that so mildly. He's obviously quite enamored of you, and for him to act in such a way might suggest a deeper desire to be nearer to you." Of course she was unperturbed, she probably was head over heels with the idea of some great and powerful dragon fighting for her love. If only Apollo was as powerful as he once had been, a dragon would be of no concern to him. Instead, here in the pale facsimile of his past self, he was stuck in this current body and his power was limited by mortals and their belief in his myths. "If it does come down to it, of course you have your shining knight." Ineffective as he was, at least she still believed in him.
There was no reason for him to feel jealous, Apollo quickly decided. She obviously cared enough for him to be here, making the decision to comment about a possible physical affair, something that he assumed he wouldn't do if she felt her dragon would be hurt by such a thing. It was not his place to council caution, and so he would not. Instead, he would simply make certain that everything that happened tonight she had a choice in. What more could he truly do than that? He would be respectful of her wishes and desires, but in the end whatever happened he would accept without question.
"I don't think it's wrong, however as you mentioned there are others that probably will. These days, relationships between older men and younger women, or younger men and older women, are becoming quite commonplace however we do have that other different hurdle to overcome." He answered, glancing at her as he pulled into the hotel parking lot. "There will always be someone who will have a problem with something, it comes down to whether or not we feel the need to listen to them. Does that answer your question?"
