She was still almost smirking at him, a knowing expression. To be honest, what she thought he might have in mind wasn't exactly what she had in mind, but it was pretty close to what she'd been thinking about when she'd sent him that message. Twee didn't know how anyone could not like Apollo or not find him attractive, but she believed him when he seemed unsure about whether she would reciprocate his feelings. Heck, she didn't even realize before now he really had those feelings to reciprocate!
"I ate already," she answered. "My roommate and I got Italian. It was one of our efforts to entertain ourselves. But after dinner she ran off with her boyfriend - he's a theater major, so he lives on campus too. But that was when I text you," she babbled casually. That was just how she was, totally open like that. She talked too much.
"Can I be blunt?" she asked. And then, not waiting for Apollo to answer her she continued, "I like you. I mean, you know I like you but do you know that I... If we're going where I think we're going for the reason I think we're going there, I just want you to know that I... don't find anything objectionable about that." It was strange. She was conflicted. But at the same time there was something that felt oddly... right about the balance she was attempting to maintain right now.
