It didn't take her long to make it outside, bounding down the steps of the dorm while she wrapped her scarf - the one that he gave her for Christmas, no less - around her neck and buttoned up the front of a long black coat. Her curls bounced a bit as she made her way across to his car, smiling brightly up at him. "Hi," she chirped, stopping right in front of him. She always seemed to forget how much taller than he he was. But it was nothing she hadn't dealt with all her life thanks to her giant of a father.
Twee tugged on the front of his coat to pull him down to her level so she could plant a kiss on his cheek. "I've missed you," she said. "I'm glad you're here, in the city I mean. It'll be much better now." She knew he had things to tend to in New Orleans, but she also had no problem being selfish and wanting to have him closer to where she had to be, thanks to school.
