He stepped away and Alyssa leaned back against the wall. The cold of its surface worked its way through her jacket and was bracing and entirely unwelcome. She couldn't quite meet his gaze.
She crossed her arms and could still taste him when she wet her lips. This is not going to be easy. Her heart was heavy within her - she knew shutting them down had been the right thing. But at what cost?
She made herself lift her gaze. "Is this going to be a problem? For you?"
