Hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry!
Gluttony was flitting about the city, running, dodging traffic with the kind of confidence only an immortal could have, scrounging in the depths of every alley, whipping his head around every street corner, racing, checking his watch and cursing every two minutes, pushing people aside without a thought or a care because he was in a rush, he was in a -- well -- a hurry.
It had been not too long ago he had sensed a blip of a very familiar presence flaring up just before hiding below his radar once again, and without wasting any time he had ran towards the source. Who knew? It may have fled to another area by now, but Brooklyn called his name, and there wasn't much else he could do besides pray to -- heh -- God that he would be able to find his destination in time. Before the timer ran out on the veritable ticking bomb he held in his hand.
Before the coffee got cold.
It certainly didn't help that the weather had dropped drastically in the last hour or so.
Just as he was about to give up and down the coffee on his own, Gluttony felt a tick of that presence once again. His breath hitched in his throat. Beelzebub.
Every Sin had their own 'master', so to speak. Lust was having issues with hers, and Greed's was toying with him for some reason or another. Last he heard, Envy had been eaten by his demon, and everyone knew that Sparkles didn't care enough to bother with Pride. Wrath was already a loyal agent of Hell, and Sloth slept through every event known to man, so he didn't have much to worry about. But Gluttony... Gluttony actually liked his demon, and he was nervous about seeing him once again after such a long stint apart.
Beelzebub was like the lazy, backwater, trailer trash father. Not personally, of course. He was as pristine as ever. But when it came to raising a Sin, the extent of his tutelage had essentially been a matter of ignoring Gluttony and only giving him tasks that would make Gluttony ignore him. Still, it was ingrained into the Sin's head that he needed to obey his master, and so that was why he was running around Brooklyn on a wild goose chase.
The energy spiked again, and Gluttony jerked towards the left, running towards an apartment building at full speed. There. Beelz had to be right there.
Like following a trail of bread crumbs, the littlest Sin raced up several flights of stairs until the sheer presence of his demon became nearly unbearable.
He'd found him.
The coffee was lukewarm.
Shit, Gluttony thought, then knocked on the door.
"Maid service!" he shouted with a grin on his face.
