The sensation of being suddenly dropped and leveled made her dizzy. She grunted at the impact which jarred her shoulder, sending a fresh bout of hot pain through her.
"You ass." He was far too close, his face was all she could see, and he was shouting at her. Even angry, his proximity stirred something in her and Alyssa was more than happy to blame the drugs for the way she responded to him.
