Grey Ceiling on the Earth // Well it's lasted for a while
Who: Zeus (rules_them_all) [Narrative]
What: After this.
Where: Zeus’ penthouse
When: Saturday
Warnings: Random mortal's death.
Blood on glass. Fish staring at him through a veil of red.
“Oh my god, Leland! Is that-?” The woman’s shrill voice was cut off by a large hand clamping over her mouth and nose.
Everything was in place. No inanimate objects of value were missing.
Except…
Dragging the woman with him, Zeus stepped into the guest room. Here, too, everything was in place.
Except…
I'm disappointed, son.
Inhale.
I'm disappointed, son.
Exhale.
I'm disappointed, son.
Breathing was becoming an issue for the mortal and it struggled, manicured nails digging into the back of his hand, his wrist, drawing blood.
Taking my brother from my home.
He tightened his grip.
When the woman went limp and sagged against him, he released her, letting her body fall to the ground carelessly.
My brother.
When he said he wasn’t going to start anything with Cronus, he’d meant it, because what would be the point?
My home.
The Titan had obviously had other ideas. Zeus didn’t think it was anything personal and he knew why he shouldn’t make it personal, either.
Except…
I'm disappointed, son.
How bored are you, old man?
Making a pastime appear personal and then turn it into something obscene by crowing it out into the world. Zeus could already hear the whining and whinging. Everyone was already reacting as expected. Hades, Athena, the small fry...
Pressing his fingers against the laptop lid lightly, he closed it.
If they let this continue its course, it would probably lead to another war.
A small sneer curled his lips.
Well, why not?
For someone who’d never spent any time with Zeus, Cronus was surprisingly good at pushing his youngest son’s buttons.
