Alexander grinned with all his teeth and leaned happily into the hug. The air was washed in warmth and the temple walls were seeped in pastel yellows and blues until there wasn't even a temple anymore. The cat coiled out of Alexander's arms and landed lightly on the floor, then scampered away. Alexander did not glance down to watch it go, he kept his eyes trained on Sato. Blue not gray, they smiled along with him as she touched his cheek. "I was scared." He admitted softly, "And lonely, even though there's lots of people here, they shift and ebb and go away and become other things." Behind Alexander, maybe three miles or so away, a small town harmlessly burst into flames. "I can't change you, though." He said, "I can feel you there, but I can't make you something different. That's how I know you're real." He reached out a hand to lightly touch the back of Sato's with the tips of his fingers. "I'm sorry, Miss Sato." He added, "I taught me. I know more than I told you- it was the paintings on the wall that reminded me." He glanced up, there were clouds gathering. "He knows I'm alive, he's looking for me."
