Alexander's eyes flew open, wider and wider, at the sound of the thump and that terrible noise the manticore made. The monster that wanted to consume him - but now it seemed he had his own monster. But not a monster- "Miss Sato!" He exclaimed happily after the scene before him had unfolded. He leaped to his feet, and the poison fell away from his skin, along with the rich orange and red robes he had been wearing. They were replaced with white and light, and the bangles around his wrists jingled as he walked towards Sato, stepped around her, and peered into the eyes of the manticore that she held like so much refuse. "Why," He said, reaching out a finger to stroke down the beast's human nose, "You're just a big cat-" With those words, the body of the manticore shivered and twisted, and soon there was nothing more in Sato's hand than a small blue cat. It mewled and leaped into Alexander's outstretched arms, leaving the faint scent of blueberries in the air. He smiled at Sato, "I missed you!"
