It took a lot of for a mighty warrior to step down off his high horse, but it could be done, especially when he had the time to lament and reconnect over situations instead of not standing for reason. At times he let a clear head go to waste when circumstances plagued him. This was not the only thing to consume his thoughts, but his respect for fellow Gods and Goddesses was completely lost when he felt inferior. He had forgotten whom he was talking to or of within that situation with Charybdis at the police station that night. It had been a worthy attack, and his initial anger was to the knock to his pride. When Kenneth stood up, Achilles knew he had been wrong. For the usually worrisome mortal to continue to stand his ground, there had been some correctness in his actions, and he held the older man in higher respect because of it. In the ten years he'd known him, never had he stood up to Achilles. It was a worthy action.
He knocked on her door, his face not quite as disappointed and angry as it had been just days ago. If he intended to continue with his project without failure (and he would not have failure) then he needed to swallow his ego. It was possible, just not easy.
