“Really,” Hypnos replied, dragging a chair over so that he could sit next to the bed. He couldn’t help but chuckle as he watched her bounce. It was the liveliest display of energy that this apartment had seen in a while—perhaps since Morpheus had moved in. She might have appeared out of place in the sleepy, dreamy room, except for the fact that she seemed to feel right at home.
“I wouldn’t say it’s odd,” he said. “Just a bit different.” Amusement glinted in his eyes. “Good different.”
He settled back in his chair, his expression shadowed with a hint of concern. “To what do I owe this pleasure?”
