“No.” It was a simple answer, but Kratos had never been one for unnecessary elaborations. The reappearance of Cronus and Rhea had caused quite a stir among the remaining Olympians, but so far the pair had done nothing out of the ordinary. Keeping tabs on them might have been tedious, but it had been relatively easy. Kratos had spent the last several days merely trying to stay awake while Cronus wrote articles, read books, and drank coffee.
“They’ve been quiet.” He paused, weighing his next words carefully. “Too quiet.”
Perhaps it wasn’t his place to make assumptions, but Zeus had asked him to watch and observe. What was the point in observation if not to draw conclusions? Cronus and Rhea had done nothing suspicious, but that in itself was enough to make Kratos uneasy. He’d been on edge ever since the pair had announced their presence, unable to shake the feeling that something big was about to happen. It was hard to believe that Cronus would be content to sit back and write articles while his son remained on the throne.
