What: Tequila and conversation.
When: The wee hours of Monday morning
Where: Latitude
Boredom. It was boredom that made her restless. Boredom that made her crave company, conversation, anything to pass the time. And it was boredom that made her invite Ares over, despite all her better judgment.
At least the bar was empty. No customers meant no one to kill each other, which meant that she wouldn’t be ending the night by mopping up blood from the floor.
Although, with how quiet things had been lately, she might not have minded a few bloodstains in exchange for a little entertainment. She didn’t exactly crave chaos, but she’d become accustomed to a fair amount of commotion every once and a while. She was a Greek, after all. Life just didn’t seem complete without a bit of turmoil.
It was getting late, and the noise from the street outside was slowly dying down. The open sign had been off for about an hour, and the bar had been cleaned and made ready for the next day. A full bottle of tequila was on the counter, along with two shot glasses, a salt shaker, and a plate full of lime slices. As for Nyx, she was sitting on a bar stool, twirling a cocktail straw between her fingertips as she considered whether to open the bottle now or later.
Boredom decided for her.
