It seemed that the Fates were kind to the love goddess that day, as she had wisely chosen not to bring any "company" back to her home.
These days, when she and Ares were not squabbling over the matters that they usually conflicted over each other with, there were less and less mortal suitors that she found herself bringing home. Instead, shopping and constant meddling with the mortal affairs in a bar or in a cafe seemed to be the habit. The lack of a mortal job gave her more freedom and she was all the more happy for it. Not to mention, everyday, feeling a distant but strong source of power feeding her from the the west - life was good.
Good enough to suddenly give her back all her children it seemed by the sounds of their greetings and words through this cyberspace. Aphrodite was overjoyed by the constant arrival of her Erotes and equally happy when even more from Ares' side came over.
If anything, despite her constant assurance to those that needed it, that her love was equal for them as it was for their siblings, Aphrodite would always be guilty of picking favorites. And it was with hers and Ares' children that she tended to choose as the closest to her heart.
It explained why Aphrodite smiled to herself as she emerged from the bathroom, smelling like lilies from her long bath as she wrapped a robe around her body. Who she sensed in the kitchen felt very much like Ares - strong, bold, and wild - but with a touch of feminism that was unmistakably hers.
"So you've found the place alright, it seems," she greeted her daughter lightly as she stepped out of her room and made her way to the kitchen towards Adrestia.
"Darling, put down the food and let me look at you. How have you been? You look pale, have you been eating enough?"
