Her skin was strange to the touch, it felt almost wet and silky but it didn't leave the fingers feeling moist in the aftermath. She let his hands stay there until his skin felt as warm as hers and then released his hands. She stared back at him, watching him with those peculiarly vivid green eyes of hers. "Good, they were almost frozen." she said with a smile, nodding.
"It's because there's no room anywhere else for a pool." she said with a grin, "and I am a sea monster, I need a place to swim, in the rain or the snow, or the sun or the moon." She smiled at him again and rose to her feet, smoothing her coat gently down into place. "Gritty can be pretty."
