"Okay, no music..." he said, rubbing Dylan's back and arms softly and trying to just be generally soothing and supportive. He was still grasping at straws. "I think normality is overrated," he said. "You have experiences and a lot of people don't have that. When you get past this, when you get better, that's going to be a great advantage for you. Just have to keep telling yourself that you're strong enough to get through this. And I believe you are."
Mac nodded, "I uhm... I just use Ecstasy, that's it. Used to smoke weed in high school, but when I met Evan he made me stop. Nothing but E, that's kind of the band rule. Like he has some kind of loyalty to the drug or something." And Mac knew that he actually did. And personally, he had the same kind of loyalty to Adam now too. But Adam - Ecstasy - would never hurt him. He couldn't say that, though. "But if you want to quit, I'll help you. I'll do everything I can. I just... want you to have someone you can rely on, okay? And I'm willing to be that person. I don't break my promises."
