For a moment, Dionysus thought about teasing her by saying he didn't know who she was to the doorman but he relented and told him to let her up. He opened the door for her, not wanting to seem to eager but wanting to seem welcome all the same.
When she finally came into view, he couldn't help but smile. Twigs? Really? It was so her. She had probably run here. Dionysus would have gladly picked her up but he knew she liked her own independence and doing things her way.
"Come in. Everything is almost ready," he stepped out of the way to let her enter, looking her over carefully. "You look beautiful."
If she had her way, they would be half naked and frolicking through Central Park before the night was over. He had to be careful not to get too swept up in her games. What could he say? His heart was prone to flights of fancy. Things happened.
