When he knocked she froze. She'd invited him, and suddenly she felt awkward and bossy. This being, the other God, would just about jump off a cliff if she asked. She was pretty sure he had.
And she felt guilty for it. For her, he took bullets and fought wars that where in her name but she knew had nothing to do with her. The greed of man ran deep, and they used liberty so often that she just wanted it all to stop. Things where so much easier when she was younger.
But she'd invited him, and wanted to do something. He'd done so much for her and she just stood there and smiled. Smiling she set the glass down and brushed her skirt down, trying not to be nervous. He didn't get nearly enough thanks.
Smiling she moved to her door and opened it, her smile widening as she saw him standing there, "you came. I mean..." she grinned then, feeling foolish. She stepped back and motioned him inside, "please. Come inside."
