Something in the way he spoke made Alyssa pause and turn to look at Karl over her shoulder. Her eyes widened slightly at the way he had propped himself up, the intensity with which he was staring at her.
That... hadn't been what she was expecting. She expected a blush, maybe a hurried excuse as he rushed to the bathroom. Not this... attention.
Alyssa straightened and turned to look at him, one hand behind her on the open drawer and the other draped casually across the top of the towel for extra security. She arched brows casually, even as she felt the rush of a challenge start to pump through her. Just because he didn't react how she'd expected didn't mean that she was going to back down.
Alyssa gave him a lazy, sensuous grin. "I didn't think that was what you came over for. You sure you don't want it? It might clear your head."
