Clean air finally filled up Karl's lungs for once, making it easier to breathe, even if he was more than used to the intake of polluted air from experience. But it made it easier to think, to try and get a grip on the situation and try to slip in a few words if he could, about business.
While Karl thought - when did she smoke? - Matt took the initiative and leaned forward, diminishing the small space in between him and Grace even more.
"You're a filthy habit, you know," he replied smoothly, placing a hand on each side of her, head continuing to follow a downward trajectory towards her. He eyed her lips pointedly for a moment before Karl forced himself to go sideways towards her ear.
"Date? Time?" he whispered lowly before proceeding to nip her earlobe.
