Trace didn't feel the same sort of awkward in the silences - but he also didn't feel the mortal need to fill up empty space with forced conversation. He pushed himself up to sit on the nearest table, bare feet in a chair, and considered the mortal.
He couldn't feel any sort of connection to the mortal - he'd never been in his system before - but he had enough power from even a few seconds with Faith that he could focus himself, and he reached out some of his energy to exude calm into the room, a mellow, relaxed sort of calm. It wouldn't affect someone who wasn't a follower as much as it would someone he had a connection with, but Shrooms was still a god, after all.
