Who: Gabriel, Diligence & assorted NPCs. What: secretarial job interview. Where: the office of New York Senator Quincy Jefferson Warnings: TBD. Probably none, considering these two.
Gabriel idly leafed through the pages of the book he was reading. You wouldn't normally expect a senator's chief-of-staff to be manning the front counter - but their secretary had an appointment with her doctor today, and everyone else in the office (except Quincy, of course) had been required to take a 'shift', as it were, at the front desk.
He put the book down, and sighed. They'd had several interviewees for the position already, but so far, none of them had been satisfactory. And some of them...well, they had been disastrous, to say the least. One had even proven to be an undercover tabloid reporter, hoping to shed some light on the Senator's personal life. Needless to say, Gabriel had been more than happy to show that particular person the door. Forcefully.
Hence the job advertising on Gabriel's part, via less conventional means. As he glanced up at the clock, he hoped that his little exercise would pay off.
