Nevermind that Poseidon himself was living in his own self-constructed world all the time - not once had he considered himself to be anything but ordinary, living his mundane existence, making what he can of what time he has left, enjoying each day as it comes and goes.
Poseidon just smiled and ducked his head at the mention of Zeus. There were a myriad of things his younger brother did that he did not approve of, but if Poseidon could be bothered talking and Zeus could be bothered listening during those times, they would be things they would talk about in private. He didn't like involving people unnecessarily - especially if it was someone close.
There was much about this complicated extended family that people saw and pretended not to see, heard and pretended not to hear. There was as much things written and said as there was things not written and left unsaid. It was one of the most beautiful and yet most saddening and tragic aspects of this pantheon.
But that was neither here nor there. It had been a long time since he got in contact with Zeus and he was planning on keeping it that way. Triton was here now and that was all that mattered.
