Triton found he couldn’t move. He stared back at his father, unable to believe the blank look and the indifferent question. His father had been joking when he’d said he might not remember him. Joking. He could not possibly have been serious. How could he have been? Forget him?
It was a moment or two before he could answer.
“Father. I came to see you. I….” Triton faltered, trying to recall everything Poseidon had said. Everything. “You said….-” he couldn’t believe he was about to say what he was going to say “- you wanted me to come, and….that I should……mention clownfish.”
