The insistence to keep it in her hands was partially because she didn't know if Karl had any background in this side of undercover work and partially because it was her op. She was a capable field agent. This was just a snag. She could handle it.
Either way, to give herself more distance and to put off thinking about what had just happened, Alyssa leaned back and dropped her hands into her jacket pocket. "Here," she said, pulling out a sparce key ring, "It's the key to my hotel room. It's old school, they don't use electric cards. I'll need you to be there to let me in. And I'll go in and ask them to let me off early. They won't, but... better if you're waiting there. We'll talk then."
