She was so at ease, that of course any familiar feelings would be ascribed to how comfortable she felt in a classroom. She was busy going over war, and allies and traitors, when she thought she saw something. What, she didn’t quite know……she had simply been glancing over the students and then…..something out of place. She barely faltered, however, only paused for hardly a breath.
There was no one in this class she didn’t know, of that she was absolutely certain. Iris knew and remembered a face forever, after meeting a person once. She would spot a stranger. Still……
Someone asked her a question, and she smiled and answered the boy’s question, thinking silently all the while. Her eyes scanned the room again and there, there was what had caught her attention.
Blue eyes.
Iris decided to not say a word and carry on as though she hadn’t noticed a thing., though her own eyes might have lingered a moment too long on the blue ones at the back.
