Who: Athena and Iris What: A gift for Athena Where: Athena's apartment When: Tuesday, early evening Warnings: None
As soon as she’d received her orders from Zeus, Iris was happy to get to work. She had several people to see, and a few things to pick up. One of the first things she did, after some brief deliberation and some research, was to obtain a gift worthy of giving to Athena.
After many phone calls and quite a lot of sweet talk and rushed arrangements, Iris believed she’d succeeded. All that remained to be done was delivery of the gift, and given its nature, she would have to be creative. When all was set, Iris printed some things out, made copies of everything, and put together a neat little pile of documents whose corners she straightened before giving them a satisfied little smile and leaving them out of her sight to get dressed.
Once she was put together, she collected the little pile and was on her way. She’d decided to wear a dress not entirely unlike something she would have worn long ago. It was modern, and nothing that would attract any undue attention, but she had asked for it to be made specifically for this. It was a pure white, and it wanted only her own colours to light it up, which they would once she was in Athena’s, and only Athena’s, presence.
Reaching the right building, Iris waited for the doorman to first announce her presence and then to allow her access to the upper floors. In no time, she was at Athena’s door, had knocked, and was waiting for Athena to open it.
