Trying vainly to snap out of his spout of random depression, Sloth didn't even notice Diligence moving until she was directly in front of him and cleared her throat. Looking down on the petite woman the Sin blinked a few times in concern, he didn't know why she would willingly get within the man's reach. He was tempted to back away from her and put some space between them but stopped when she started to speak.
"It's fine, I--" Sloth started to reply back to his opposite but was caught completely off guard as she stretched up upon her toes and planted a soft kiss upon his cheek. The Sin was caught so off guard that he actually stared at the woman until she spoke once again. Noticing the light color that stained Diligence's cheeks, the man couldn't help the large grin that crept onto his face. Clearing his throat slightly, the Sin chuckled a bit before speaking.
"I'm sure they worry too, but, Diligence it is my pleasure to have you over. Feel free to invite yourself anytime." Sloth still wasn't feeling his greatest, but that was because of his nature. The affection shown to him, though, was worth anything he could be put through, though. He needed that affection, not just from Diligence, someone who he thought he was becoming friends with, but also his family members. Most of which he hadn't seen in quite some time.
Walking back over to where his opposite was standing, preparing their dinner, Sloth stood right beside her, though in a completely friendly manner. He didn't want her to feel anything negative about his presence at the moment.
"You aren't boring at all, dearest Diligence. You're quite adorable, actually." Giving the woman a light nudge once again, playfully this time, Sloth finished up with his job of the shrimp.
