Very aware of her own limits, Diligence had mixed herself a drink that she knew would pack very little punch. Much as she was starting to relax, she didn't want to end up feeling so comfortable that she ended up dancing on his table sans pants. The Virtue could clearly remember how she reacted to her first real drinking adventure, and didn't feel the Sin would appreciate that kind of behavior even from her. He'd probably be tolerant of it, but she'd feel wretched for subjecting him to such a display when she knew he would never let her live it down.
"It's usually just cranberry and vodka, but I think the raspberry adds a little something." She selected a small pot for the pasta and a frying pan for the other ingredients, debating shooing him out of the kitchen.
"I'm sure it will be fine, I've made this plenty of times, it's really doesn't require a lot to make. I can even teach you, if you like." Out of habit, Diligence was also speaking softly. Of course, the closer the Sin seemed to get, the harder it got for the Virtue to refrain from looking over at him. She noticed out of the corner of her eye him mixing up a far more potent version of the same drink she had, unable to disguise how pleased she was when he seemed to enjoy it. All of this wasn't helping Diligence remain true to her desire to keep this casual, the warm fuzzy sensations overwhelming to say the least.
"Do you want to de-vein the shrimp, chop some aromatics, or put some water on to boil?" Diligence ignored the pet name, all business.
