"No actually; I came to check out your new hairstyle. I must say it suits you better than the last one." Wasn't it wonderful how Envy always, always brought out the best in people, without fail?
"You know what happens when you interfere with others and their mess, Envy? You get ensnared; dirtied by the mud - you lose your objectivity and you take sides, make enemies that will come back and haunt you in the future, become manipulated and forced to do things you never needed to in the first place. Before you realise what you're doing, it consumes you like quicksand and nothing you do can remove you from a situation you were once not involved in. When everything is finally resolved, you suffer the consequences that should only befall those who started the problems. And what do you get out of it, hm? A moment to gloat? A moment of glory? Is the trade-off worth it, or is the bigger picture something worth considering after all?"
He breathed out slowly, leaned back into his seat and slipped his hands into his pockets.
"I don't like telling others what to do. It makes people angry, it humbles them and it makes them want to do the opposite. I am merely asking you to consider your own position, your own safety and your own dignity. You would save yourself a lot of trouble if you focus your efforts elsewhere."
