A parting gift? Jamie hadn't left anything behind that could be considered as such, had he? He was pretty sure he hadn't.
His feet carried him towards the store he'd purchased shirts from the last time he'd needed new ones. Although it was still slightly weird to have company, that feeling slipped away rather soon. The clerks were friendly and mostly unobtrusive, fetching him shirt after shirt after shirt. A few of them even came pretty close to the one that was destroyed.
Close wasn't very satisfactory, though.
Jamie was not fussy.
"I don't know," he said, staring at his appearance in the full-length mirror, tugging at the cuffs of the n-th shirt he was trying on. "It's a bit too large around the shoulders and the colour..." Another critical glance into the mirror. "Maybe we should forget the colours and go for black and plain white..."
