There was that brief moment when her hand moved to accept the joint being offered to her, but instead of taking it and bringing it up to her lips she dropped it in the grass and stepped on it with the toe of her white heel. "No thank you," she said primly.
"The park is gorgeous today. Is there a reason you're polluting the place with that filth?" It was good pot, Rehab could tell from the smell. The redness in her eyes was actually worth something and the tightly wound Rehab let out a breath almost wishing that she could relax as Hippie did.
"You know, this afternoon I saw exactly what that could do to someone. The windows it opens up to the harder things," she said, still staring down at Hippie. "I sat with a boy while he died."
