Ever since her father had suggested getting out on the water in a boat, Triteia had been almost giddy with excitement. It had been so long since she'd been surrounded by water - her short trip to the Atlantic Ocean several weeks ago didn't count.
The past two months, being reunited with her family and finding out that so many of them were still around, had brought her so much joy and happiness that she sometimes wondered if she was dreaming it all up.
Right now, however, with her arms slung around Triton's waist and her head resting against his shoulder blade, she knew that it was all real. He was here, her sister was here, she was here and their family had a new addition in the form of the lovely Amaterasu, it seemed.
Humming softly, the nymph pulled away from her father and gazed across the water, inhaling the scent of the sea, as she stretched her arms above her head. "The sun and sea are making me sleepy."
