Who: Eve and Lust What: Shopping trip! When: Thursday afternoon Where: Various stores and shops Warnings: Panic attacks and gross misuse of credit cards
The long dark car slid to a stop in front of the Macy's storefront, just as Lust pushed the 'end' button on her phone. Their flight had gotten in early that morning, and after getting settled in with a brief nap in between, too soon it was time to leave Des to flit around and do whatever it was he had planned and her to meet with Eve.
The outburst from the other day still alternatively tickled her as much as it befuddled her, and if nothing else was accomplished that day, she would get the dirt on what exactly went down between the pain in the ass archangel and Eve. Good gossip was hard to come by, and was one of the very few downfalls for relocating out to the less populated coast, but in the long run it was worth it without all of the headache and political ramifications of what her actions might cause.
Waiting patiently for her driver to come round to her door, Lust reached over for her bottle of water as she made sure she had her purse and mentally steeled herself for the physical discomfort of having her mother nearby. It wouldn't be too terrible after the long days spent with her near, but it was always that initial discomfort that was the worst. Already she could feel it licking at the edges of her consciousness, preceding the actual sight of her mother as the Sin slid languidly from the vehicle.
Good manners alone held her tongue from commenting on Eve's drab attire, a certain amount of pity mixed in with irritation at the woman's insistance to remain impoverished.
Good thing today was on her tab. There was less room for her mother to argue about price tags and sensible things. After all, wasn't the day supposed to be about giving Eve a nice, fresh outlook on things?
"You're looking well, mother. Feeling any better since your little outburst?"
