Other people might have found it odd that the girl had a virtual greenhouse in the Highway's basement, but Dylan accepted it fairly quickly. He thought it was nice. The plants were obviously well cared for, lush, green, and pretty. It was nothing at all like the jungle of his nightmares. He tried to pay attention to every description Sylvia gave him, but after a few minutes it became too much to remember and he just smiled vaguely and nodded until he realized she had stopped. "Oh, okay-" He said awkwardly, "Thanks." He added, then stooped to gently pluck one of the strawberries of of its plant. He straightened up again and took a bite, found that it was incredibly sweet, and bent back down to pick a couple more. When he'd finished eating them, he looked up at Sylvia. "Which one is salvia?" He asked. He had more pressing questions, of course, theories to be addressed. But this room made him feel so calm, his paranoia could wait.
