Gaia had received no sleep the night before. She had been hunched over a bright computer screen in a very dark and suffocating room all night working on a paper for her boss. It had been agonizing, she’d slept in, and now she was being ran into by loud singers. Because of her lack of sleep, she stumbled back a good few steps and blinked a bit, trying to regain her bearings as the man who had ran into her caught her just before she fell onto the ground.
“Oh!” Was all she said in surprise, looking up to him, her ponytail swaying from side to side as her slightly droopy eyes found his face. It was obvious she was tired, but through all that, she had a warmth and kindness to her face, a natural beauty that could not possibly be ignored.
“Yes! Oh, yeah, I’m fine. You should pay more attention,” She said with a bright smile on her face to show that she was in no way angry about being walked into. After she had taken the time to get a good look at him, she realized something was different. Then it clicked. This was no ordinary human. There was something quite special about him, but she couldn't lay a finger on it.
