I wanna play the game - I want the friction.
Who: Ares (ares_godofwar), Ganymede (ganymedes) and Hades (mr_underworld)
What: SAR mission, of sorts.
Where: TBD
When: Monday early morning, after Hades' five minute headstart.
Warnings: Possible language, possible violence; it's a Greek kind of log.
By the time Ares was ready to go out, Hades got quite a bit more than just a five-minute headstart. If it bothered the god of war, it certainly didn't show on his face. Even if he couldn't sense Hades out, he was a good enough tracker without having to resort to pulling some strings at work. After all the Department of Homeland Security could only spy on people to a certain extent.
Flying was the fastest way around the city so naturally it was the best option to getting to Hades as soon as possible. His favoured winged animal happened to be one of various animals sacred to him in the past. All the lights that lit up the city would be a nuisance for an owl but he wasn't expecting Hades to be hiding himself and/or Ganymede in a well-lit area.
Fortunately, Ares had enough flight time and experience under his belt to be unfazed by city lights. When he literally fell off his balcony, an eagle owl took to the skies and began its search.
Ares wasn't exactly counting on the element of surprise; if Hades couldn't see this quirky-looking owl, once thought of as a bad omen, flying in from a mile away, he ought to lose Ganymede anyway.
