Yes we're going to a party party! Who: Everybody who was invited, their guests... uh, and I suppose anyone who wasn't invited who wants to crash an awesome party? :) What: Helen's and the twins' birthday/birthmonth party! When: Friday night at 8:00 to... whenever. Where: The Ty Warner Penthouse, 52nd floor of the Four Seasons hotel. Warnings: TBD. Notes: The many awesome things at this party include an open bar, space cleared for music and dancing, many delicious nibbly foods, really everything you'd expect from a ritzy penthouse party. The food and alcohol is copious (I mean, they're Greeks) and a good time is expected to be had by all. Feel free to start a comment thread for your character, and likewise feel free to jump in on others' comments. Mingling is definitely encouraged. If your character is shy, send 'em over to the bar to get loosened up. I'm serious, this will work. <3
The twins had been pumped for this party ever since they'd decided to host a huge and awesome one with Helen, in honor of the first Gemini month they'd been together with their sister since... well, centuries and centuries, at the least. They'd shown up to the almost intimidatingly amazing penthouse early to help with the setup. At least, that's what they said they were doing, but it was George and his army of caterers and waiters and decorators and other assorted people who apparently knew what they were doing, who were doing the work.
It was amazing, really, how much Helen's personal assistant had pulled together in a short time for this party; like the twins said, Georgie really was magic. There was a really hot pair of bartenders getting the open bar set up, with possibly enough alcohol to keep the whole Greek pantheon satisfied for a night. There was a DJ warming up in the main living room of the suite, and a multitude of model-quality servers hurrying around with food.
Castor and Pollux had probably not dressed formally enough for a location this upscale -- both in slacks and button-down shirts that were at least neat and clean. The twins weren't ones to care about fashion, and anyway, it was their party, so they could wear whatever they wanted. Maybe Helen wouldn't see it that way, but it worked for Castor and Pollux.
Castor was currently flirting persistently with a red-headed waitress with legs for miles, making her laugh and feeling that he was really getting somewhere, though mostly he was just getting in the way. Pollux, for his part, was sitting down out of the way of the staff's last-minute preparations, fiddling with the tiny box in his pocket (the twins' birthday gift for Helen). The twins were feeling great, high on the power of being in the middle of the Gemini month, with all the attention that brought them and their constellation, even if their twin stars weren't visible in the sky right now. This party, with their friends and family in attendance, was just the cherry on top of what was already a really great month for them. Well... that and getting wings. That would be pretty awesome, too.
