You say, that we've got nothing in common. No common ground to start from...
Who: Raven
What: Heavy thinking
Where: Tiffany's (yes, the jewelery shop)
When: Thursday night
Rating: PG-13
It had been a long, somewhat difficult day, but Raven was still flying high on the fumes of joy from his recent surprise for Rave. She was definitely thrilled about the impending Disney trip, but he felt as though there was more he could do to show just how devoted he was to being with her and loving her. It was with that in mind that he had made the trip to a store that he had always felt was way out of his league - Tiffany's.
He had been considering the idea of popping the question to Rave while they were on their trip, but he had been unable to find a ring that he felt really fit her. Finally, he had stumbled upon something nearly perfect at the high-end jewelery shop, but it needed some tweaks before it could truly be what he knew she'd like. He had arranged a few meetings over the phone, but now he was going to view and pick up the finished product.
Once he had settled down in one of the back rooms to await the presentation, Raven became aware of how awkward he must look. Sighing, he stood up and took a deep breath, reminding himself that someone loved him so he was obviously attractive, and wearing his suit and tie made him looked like a total GQMF-er. He was doing this for the woman he loved, so that had to give him an edge. A stiff-looking older man brought in a small black box, opening it slowly to unveil the ring.
For the first few moments Raven just stared before picking up the ring. He examined it from every angle, finally nodding up at the man in approval. It was a huge step he was planning on taking, but he knew that so long as she accepted it was the right one.
