If Karl wasn't so focused on trying to keep Alyssa from looking at the left side of his face, he would've probably noticed her focus on him. He was also more distracted at the idea of his partner having gone to the passenger's side, only because he had imagined they would have the same argument, friendly but still argumentative, about driving. He raised a brow at where Alyssa was a second ago before she slid into her seat before he closed the trunk and walked to the driver's side.
"Must have been," he agreed as he opened the door and slid into his own seat, a little smile on his face, showing his slight amusement at this lack of arguments between them. Maybe vacation was a good thing. For mortals at least.
"Handy. If only we knew what we were being called when you do use them, though." The car started as he buckled in his seat belt, and easily maneuvered the car into the lane and made towards the exit.
