Airport security annoyed Alyssa, not because of the inconvenience, but because every time she passed through she thought of another way to bypass it. It wasn't so much the procedures as it was the personnel - the human factor. She couldn't help sizing up the staff, seeing who wasn't paying enough attention to their jobs, who would be easy to fool... there were a thousand little tells and she was seriously considering writing up that guy in the corner.
She passed close enough by him to get his name tag. He didn't even glance her way - yeah, there was no way she was letting that pass. Eyes narrowed, she collected her bags, mentally composing the letter she planned to write to security. There was no sign of Karl in the baggage claim which meant that he was either outside, or that he was late.
Digging around for her cell, Alyssa prepared to call him as she walked outside, only to snap the phone shut. Smiling, she rolled her suitcase over to him, "Look who made it on time!"
