Triton shook his head slightly, both negating the apology and declining the offer. What he wanted most at the moment was to find out exactly why he was here…..he wasn’t used to meeting with someone for no reason. Meeting with a stranger. Triton hadn’t been able to say no, not when he knew it had to do with Amaterasu.
Still, he didn’t quite like the idea, though he was almost sure he understood the idea behind it. He had been warned not to hurt Amaterasu, and now, he’d been called on for a meeting. It didn’t take much to figure he was seen as a threat. Whether this was a threat to Amaterasu or something else, Triton didn’t know. He didn’t know much about the man he was currently looking at……he wasn’t about to start guessing at motive. He had a feeling he’d be learning them shortly.
“I arrived not long ago.” Triton did not smile in return but kept his expression as friendly as he could.
