She had put more thought into it then that he had originally thought if that was the case. It was true that had she gone with her original choice she would have drawn his eye, but he wouldn’t have thought she would have done it on purpose, at first at least. Mostly because he does think like a male and when presented with imagery that is appealing thinking tends to become a secondary function.

There is no other assumptions about how she’d look – he had seen her user icons after all, and she looked as much like them as he looked like his own. That was the nice thing about the newsgroup, it seemed; people used themselves for their representations.
He lifted his glass to sip from it – a dry martini that he had been nursing since just after he arrived. He rolled the cocktail over his tongue for a moment before swallowing and setting the glass back down.
