Who: Ganymede and Hades
What: On his way to see his god Pan with an apple in his hand, Ganymede is detained by the Big Bad Wolf Mr. Hades, who wants him to come and pour wine. Or something. Let hijinks ensue.
When: Wednesday, 4:00, after track practice.
Where: Starting at The Beacon School track and progressing from there.
Warnings: Kidnapping, sexuality, adorable confusion?

Ganymede was in a very good mood. He had slept well, just as Dr. Underwood had told him, because gods were weird sometimes and wanted to stay up with you and not sleep. And he had had a good day at school and hadn't had to take a quiz in algebra because Mr. Blumstein liked him so much. And he had had a good day at track practice, too, and made a new record in the hundred meters, which was easy because no one today ran as fast as the people who had used to run around with him up on the mountain. And now he was going to visit his very own god, nice Pan, who had liked him so much and called him his favorite and had more to teach him. Mr. Pan had asked for a shiny red apple, so he had found the shiniest and reddest one at the grocery store on his way to school. He only hoped it was shiny enough, because you had to give the very best to your own god.

He was walking with his best friend Andrea, because he always walked her home after track practice, even though she didn't live very far away from school at all. Anyway, she lived in the right direction for going to Mr. Pan's house, so it was all right, and he wouldn't be late. Gods didn't like it when you were late, and sometimes they took away your games. So he walked a little faster after he said goodbye to his friend at her door, a smile on his face and the apple held carefully in his hand, and not a thought in his head beside getting to Mr. Pan's house to give him his offering.

First he was not there, and then he was, one of the benefits of being Unseen. Hades, god of the Underworld, had claimed that his designs for the throne had been terminated that bleak night when his mortal wife had left him, but that was a lie. Or, rather, it had been the truth for a little while, and now it was not. He had Lily back, he had placed more stringent charms on her mind, and little Theo was his, mind and heart and soul. His mortal troubles averted, Hades had called up other priorities in his mind. Namely, the throne. He was fairly certain abducting Ganymede would warrant a challenge from his brother, and he was confident that he could defeat his brother when it came to that.

He appeared directly in Ganymede's path, catching the boy to his chest as they colided. Hades smiled blandly. "Hello, Ganymede."

He... hadn't been looking where he was going? Only he had been looking, and there had been no one there, but now there was, and he squeaked in surprise as he collided with the man in front of him. He was grateful, though, for the arms around him, because otherwise he might have fallen and dropped the apple for Pan, and that would have been bad. "Oh," Ganymede said, and looked up, brushing his hair out of his eyes. "Excuse me, sir. I didn't see you."

His mind was always a little slow to catch up, and the fact that the man had called him by the name that he wasn't supposed to call himself around most people these days took a moment to work its way into his brain. He widened his eyes in surprise. "Oh, sir, you know who I am?" he asked in astonishment.

Hades' large hands closed around Ganymede's upper arms and his eyebrows rose slightly. The child looked slightly different outside of the heavenly glow of Mount Olympus, but he felt much the same, even inside a mortal form. He eyed the boy slowly up and down, met his eyes and cocked his head slightly to the side. "Oh yes, lad, I know exactly who you are." He said smoothly, "I've come for you." He continued, "Are you ready to depart?"

Ganymede was confused, which was a nearly constant state for him, anyway, but this was a truly puzzling meeting. "You've... come for me, sir?" he repeated. "But... where are we going? I have to go and see Mr. Pan, sir. I can't go anywhere until he's through seeing me." But this situation was vaguely familiar, those hands on his arms, the awe this man inspired in him without even knowing who he was, and somewhere inside his muddled mind he still held a memory of a pair of huge claws gripping him just like this, two huge wings bearing him up into the sky, and the ground falling away beneath him...

His mouth fell open in an O of surprise. "Oh, sir. Are you Zeus? You don't look like him. Are you another god? Are you taking me up to the top of the mountain? But what about Mr. Pan?"

"Walk with me, child." Hades replied, dropping one and and sliding the other around the boy's shoulders. He gently pushed Ganymede to the left, turning the two of them down another, completely different street. The comparison to Zeus had angered him though it might have been warranted, he didn't consider his conquests to be quite as lewd as his brothers'. He had taken Persephone for love, Ganymede for political gain, nothing so crude as pure lust, like Poseidon and Zeus. "I observed you when you first joined the gods and goddesses on the mountain, and I admired your beauty. I've decided to take a taste for myself, and never mind Pan, he has been paitent for a long time, he can wait a little longer." He paused, and as he continued to walk his smile deepened into a smirk, "I am Hades." He announced finally, and kept walking.

Ganymede followed obediently, though he looked over his shoulder, a little anxious at being delayed from meeting Pan. "Hades?" he asked, and paused, searching his admittedly shallow memory for that name. He couldn't find it, and so he just shook his head in puzzlement. "But, sir, I don't know who Hades is. And, and Pan is my god, sir, the one I sacrificed my billies to when I lived with my father. I shouldn't keep him waiting, sir." He squirmed a little, trying to break away from Hades' arm. "I have to bring him his offering, sir," he explained, and held up the apple to show him. "I can pour wine for you after that, Mr. Hades, sir, but I'll get in trouble if I don't go to Mr. Pan's house now."

Oh yes, this was what had been missing. That vague emotion of something very similar to fear seeping into the situation, that was what Hades lived for, contrary to his previous conclusion that his actions were simply out of love or desire for political game. He ran his free hand up Ganymede's arm and plucked the apple from his hand, raised it to his lips, and then took a bite. He chewed for a half a minute, smug and holding the boy rather firmly to his side as he continued to walk, and then dropped the fruit to the sidewalk. "I am King of the Underworld." He said finally, "I am, in fact, Zeus' elder brother, and a prince of heaven." Or, he had been, a long time ago. "Pan is no king, lad, I take priority."

"Oh," Ganymede murmured, not struggling anymore, because this made sense. Zeus had taken him away from Pan because he was a greater god, and that must mean... "Then you must be a greater god than Pan, Mr. Hades," he said slowly, working things out one step at a time. "And if you're Mr. Zeus' older brother, then you must be a greater god even than him." After all, Ganymede had two elder brothers, and they were both stronger and smarter than he was, and so it made sense that this Mr. Hades, who was an older brother and a king, would be stronger and smarter, too. He smiled, reassured, and followed willingly. You were always supposed to do what a god told you to, and you were supposed to do what a king told you to, and when someone was a god and a king, he thought that meant you really really really had to do what they said.

That settled, he looked around curiously. "Where are we going, sir?" he asked, looking up at Hades. It didn't really matter that he had eaten and thrown away the offering for Pan, because he could go and get another one later, and anyway he couldn't argue with a god-king. "To the Underworld? Is it very far away? Only I have to be home for dinner, sir, or I might get grounded."

"The Underworld is very far away." And not worth the power it would take to make the trip, anyway, when he had his hotel suite to take the boy in. Now that Ganymede was willing to go with him, he let go of that strong grip to raise a hand and ruffle his hair, smiling fondly. "You are right, child, I am a very powerful god, so powerful, in fact, that your parents will be quite alright with your taking this small trip with me." He chuckled, "Where we are going is not very far away at all, I promise."

Ganymede nodded and smiled back at Hades, at ease now with the god. He was used to this, to gods making plans and taking him places without asking him, and it always turned out all right, so he wasn't about to worry about it. "And what are we going to do there, sir?" he asked, full of questions as usual. "Do you need me to serve you wine and nectar? How long will I stay with you, Mr. Hades, sir?"

"As long as it pleases me to make your acquaintance, my boy." Hades replied. Or, as long as it took for Zeus to get word of this theft and fly into some kind of highly amusing jealous rage. He took Ganymede deeper into the city, where there were closer pressed throngs of pedestrian mortals. It was a long distance to walk, but eventually they came to the hotel where Hades maintained a permanent temporary residence. The doorman was trained well, he knew better than to give odd looks to the distinguished man of learning who took men up to his room - or to regard the ages of any them with scrutiny.

He led Ganymede up the stairs and down a long hallway with deep red carpet, to the door of his suite. He pulled a key from his trouser pocked and unlocked the door, then opened it and slipped inside with Ganymede. Once they were inside, he closed the door, locked it, and closed a dead bolt. "Now." He said, turning to the boy, his face a mask of benevolence. "Let's see if we can't find some wine in my collection." He briefly raised a hand to run his fingertips down Ganymede's cheek, and as he did so, his smile faded. "You truly are a beautiful creature." He murmured.

It was not a particularly arduous task to find wine in Hades' residence. He took a bottle from the kitchen and two substantial glasses, then went to the main sitting room. He reclined on a large couch, arms splayed lazily on either side of him. He smiled at Ganymede, and nodded to the bottle and glasses he had set on a coffee table in front of him. "Pour, child, and come sit with me. Come close, and I'll give you a present."

It was a long walk, but Ganymede didn't complain -- gods didn't like it if you complained, and anyway it wasn't far enough for his feet to start hurting, so that was all right. He waved a cheerful hello to the man who opened the door for them, but the man didn't wave back, and he frowned briefly over that. But when he saw the luxurious suite, he forgot about his puzzlement and just stared, drinking everything in with wide eyes.

Hades was so nice, touching him and complimenting him, and Ganymede smiled and turned his eyes modestly down to the floor. He followed the god (his god, now? He wasn't certain) into the sitting room. It was so pretty here, with such nice things, maybe even as nice as it was up on the mountaintop where the gods lived. And now there was wine to be poured, and if there was one thing Ganymede knew, it was pouring wine.

It wasn't as simple as it looked. There was a real art to pouring, especially for gods; you had to be careful not to spill, but that wasn't enough; you had to be graceful and modest and you had to know where to stand and how to move and where to keep your eyes and really, it was a lot of work to be good at it. He bent to pour wine into both glasses, not wavering and not spilling a single drop, and lifted one of them to offer to Hades with a smile. "There you are, sir," he said, and tipped his head to glance at the other glass. "Is that for me, Mr. Hades, sir? Only Mrs. Carol says I'm not allowed to drink wine. I told her that I did back home in Anatolia and up on the mountain, too, and she said America is a different country and I can't until I'm older. But I don't think she knows that I'm not going to get any older, sir." He smiled hopefully at Hades. "But you won't tell Mrs. Carol, will you, sir? She's not my real mother at all."

Hades watched Ganymede's movements with lustful eyes and a content and pampered smile. He took the glass gingerly and drank deeply with a sigh. "Of course you can drink, Ganymede, pour yourself a glass." He reached out a hand to rest it on the boy's elbow. "And, as I said, come sit with me a while."

"Thank you, sir," Ganymede answered, pleased, and took up the glass. He wasn't supposed to drink wine, really, but a lot of times the men who offered it to him said that it was all right and told him not to tell his foster parents. And he did like wine almost as much as nectar. It wasn't quite as sweet, but it made his head feel light in a very nice way.

Obedient as ever, he sat next to Hades, close, as he'd asked, but not too close. Gods liked to be able to move you, he'd found, so he had no doubt that even if he was sitting in the wrong place, he'd soon end up where Hades wanted him. He gave Hades a smile and sipped carefully at his wine. "It's very good wine, sir," he observed, and closed his eyes to drink again, enjoying the smooth taste on his tongue.

Immediately, as if on cue, Hades put one of his arms around the boy's waist and drew him closer, leaving his arm in its place. He felt warm and pliant, and so bright - not in terms of intelligence but in terms of his presence. Despite all of the boy's history, it was easy to forget in the presence of that innocent-looking face, that sweet voice. "I'm glad you like it." He said, and took another drink from his glass. He set the glass down on the table and raise his hand to lightly run his fingers around one of Ganymede's wrists. A thin band of silver and pale blue stones formed where he touched the lad's skin, and when he had finished, he left behind a priceless, peerless piece of jewelry. Smug, he picked his glass back up and drank again, but not enough to finish his drink, since that would warrant Ganymede standing.

Ganymede opened his eyes at being pulled closer and glanced up at Hades to make sure he was pleased with him, that he didn't need anything else. But in the next moment, with the god's touch to his wrist, he forgot his concern and just stared in wonder at the shining bracelet that was forming around his wrist. "Oh, sir," he breathed, astonished, and looked up at Hades again, his blue eyes wide and round. "Mr. Hades, is that a present? Oh, sir, it's beautiful." He lifted his hand and turned his wrist, admiring the way the bangle looked and felt, cool but quickly warming with the heat of his skin. "Thank you, sir," he added after a moment, remembering his manners, and shifted in Hades' embrace, pressing the length of his body against the god's side and leaning up to kiss his cheek, just as he had kissed Zeus' cheek so many times to thank him for his gifts.

Hades slid the hand around Ganymede's waist to press it against the small of his back, holding the boy rather firmly to him. It was good to have a warm, young thing beside him, willing and not trying to escape, for once. No wonder his brother liked this child so much. "Such a sweet, loving child you are." He said fondly, catching Ganymede's chin with his thumb and forefinger. He tilted the boy's head to either side and then released him, sliding that hand down his chest. Hades' nose just brushed the boy's cheek and he was pleased, very much so. "Surely you can show your appreciation with more than just words, lad." He murmured, slipping his fingers under the hem of Ganymede's shirt.

"Yes, sir," Ganymede agreed, ever obedient. He knew how this went, vaguely -- it was always a surprise to him when people wanted to lay down with him and look at him and touch him, but he wasn't about to object. He leaned forward to set his wineglass down carefully, because he didn't want to spill on Mr. Hades' nice couch, and lifted his arms helpfully to wriggle out of his shirt. He smiled up at Hades, entirely unselfconscious; in the old days he had run races dressed in nothing at all, and he had never been bashful about showing his body. He just waited, now, to be told what to do, because that's how it always was with gods.

Hades' smile widened enough to the point where his teeth, like some rare albino bird of paradise, were visible. "Lovely." He said admiringly, and ran his hand up Ganymede's bare chest. "Very lovely, indeed." He reached to his side, plucked the wine bottle from the coffee table, and extended it to Ganymede. "Here, boy, rest your head in my lap and I'll conjure you something to grace that pretty hair of yours."

"Thank you, sir," Ganymede answered, pleased with the compliments and the offer of yet more gifts, and smiled. He was certainly willing to do whatever would please the king and god who was so kind to him, and he shifted down, wriggling onto his side. He laid his head carefully down across Hades' lap, glancing up at him to be sure this was right. "Like this, Mr. Hades, sir?" he asked.

"Just like that." Hades replied, pleased. He began to slowly run his hand through the boy's hair, and for a while he was content to have him in his lap, to just look at the beauty he had manage to snatch out from under his brother's nose. There was some satisfaction in that, but only for a short while. He hadn't been with another besides his mortal wife since returning from Colorado. There was some part of him that found this distasteful, but that part was constructed from foolish mortal ideals, ideals he could sweep away with the knowlege that he was a god, and he could damn well take what he pleased. His hand circled the top of Ganymede's hair, leaving behind a silver circlet that rested lightly on the crown of his head. Without speaking, his hand slid down to stroke Ganymede's neck, then his arm, and then he had slipped his arm around the boy's midsection, his fingers tracing absent circles on his stomach. He set down his glass again and began to unbutton the front of his shirt, still smiling that grim smile all the while. "May the pits of Tartarus take me if I leave an inch of you untouched." He murmured, shrugging off his shirt.

Ganymede lifted a hand curiously at the light weight on his head to touch the circlet, and he widened his eyes at Hades. "Oh, sir, a little crown? Is it because I'm a prince?" He smiled, not moving from his place in Hades' lap. "Thank you, sir. You're very kind to me." He watched with interest, unmoving, as Hades removed his shirt, and glanced up at him with a smile. "What's Tartarus, Mr. Hades, sir? I don't think I've ever been there."

"Tartarus is in the Underworld, my kingdom." Hades replied. "Only very, very bad men go there, men who defy the will of the gods." Or, alternatively, those souls that made such a racket that even Hades in his infinite patience was sick of them, and so down they went. He cupped Ganymede's chin in his hand, dipped his head to kiss the boy on the lips and, when he pulled back and found that it had been to his liking, went back for more.

"Oh," Ganymede murmured, thinking really hard about that, and he frowned up at Hades, about to ask another question, but then the god was kissing him and he made a surprised sound, his hands coming up to rest on Hades' chest. Not to push him away -- of course not, you couldn't stop gods, and he wasn't really sure that he wanted to try, because this one was just so nice and had given him beautiful gifts and Ganymede wanted to please him. He half sat up, tipping his head up willingly, and was more than ready for the next kiss, sliding an arm trustingly around Hades' neck. Gods were weird, but he was used to that, and he certainly knew how to be kissed.

He kept his grip on the boy's chin firm as they kissed, and Ganymede's shift in position pleased him. It meant that there was more of his beautiful skin to be discovered through his hand, which meandered down the boy-god's torso until Hades' fingers had settled on the top of Ganymede's trousers. Their bare torsos pressed together marvelously, and the King of the Underworld was quite enjoying himself. "Turn over, child, I want to see you." He murmured, drawing his fingertips down Ganymede's cheek.

Ever obedient and eager to please, Ganymede nodded and slipped his arm down again. "Yes, sir," he agreed, and squirmed down to stretch out over the couch, looking up at Hades for confirmation. The movement knocked the circlet on his head askew, not that he noticed, because all his attention was on the god who he thought was his god now. "Is this right, sir?" he asked, and slid his hand down over his stomach to touch the fly of his jeans, because he did know how this was probably going to go, and he wasn't about to say no. "Do you want to see all of me, Mr. Hades? I don't mind," he assured him, and smiled up at him.
