"Your employer calls you 'Thor'?" she asked with a smirk, of course capitalizing on the least significant detail of his little story just to bother him. The goddess allowed his kiss, clossed her eyes as his lips brushed her forehead, smiled further.
"I had my reasons..." she replied softly, playing at the mystery to avoid a story she wasn't ready to tell without a bit of dinner. "And don't 'way to go' me, Favored Son, You should know that in response for that little escapade I garnered several useful favors. I'm afraid your mother is capable of finding herself rather well connected these days, even when her son disappears for a thousand or so years..."
She sighed, bringing her hands to rest on his sturdy forearms, forcing herself not to feel the tears that were threatening to invade her eyes. "I am happy. I am...deliriously happy. And I...I really don't think you could have come at a better time, actually..." And then the tears did spill over and she felt strangely embarrassed and wiped them away quickly, that fierce persona slipping in from of one of the only beings who could move it.
"I have....much news...but we should eat. And we need alcohol." She caught a stray tear in her fingertips, bit her lip, and threw her arms around him again. "I don't care how long you're gone," she said quietly. "I'm.....I'm just glad you've returned to me."
