Raven is pretty stupid, really, to be bringing a guest -- if it wasn't bad enough to be baiting the head of his own pantheon, he was putting something potentially appetizing in front of Guns, who takes what he wants when he wants it. There is no arguing with a god that powerful, unless the challenger wants the argument to end in a lot of blood and pain and tears, but tonight, Raven is lucky -- Guns has his scope and sights set on another goddess, and while Rave's outfit has charmed him, she is out of arms' reach, and therefore far from his thoughts.
Still, he can smell her fear, like a dog, and for a while he does look at her. In the deep blue of his eyes there is a copper gleam -- the gleam of shiny new bullets -- but as with most things, it's an illusion, and he smiles at Rave. And then, because he wants to scare her, and humiliate her, he raises his voice and says, "Don't be scared! There's nothing to be afraid of."
Now, back to the main event.
When Onatah stands by him, Guns looks at her, flashes a grin, and reaches over (quick as his smile) and pulls her onto his lap. An arm around her waist holds her there, and while the grip isn't tight, it's still notable, and Guns chatters on as though they are the best of friends, as though nothing is out of the ordinary. "So how goes your life? I hear they want to power cars with corn." He chooses yellow as well, reaching for a jar that color, opening it, and beginning to paint an ear of the popular vegetable on the goddess' arm. His finger moves slowly, deliberately, and he speaks as he paints. "Do you still have to disappear for the winter? That would be a bummer. You'd have to skip Christmas parties." Guns' chin is almost on her shoulder.
And then Guns smells blood, and while he offers no signal of detecting it again, it is only a matter of time before it elicits some reaction. Luckily the goddess on his lap is a grounding force, and he ignores it. Coyote is going to ruin the party for everyone at this rate.
